fascinating material,
for a really inexpensive case, this works pretty well. the padding material is sort of odd, like dense memory foam or something, but it feels honestly protective. it also fits my 14′ laptop (ASUS u43 jc) pretty snugly, but with enough room on top and bottom to also place in the power chord and/or external pocket HDD when i want to

|You Get What You Pay For…,
I was excited to open this up when it arrived because I despised putting my laptop in my backpack with no added protection. I opened it up and was immediately disappointed with how coarse and stiff the product is. As others mentioned, it is sized a small large, but that makes perfect sense being generically designed for 14″ laptops. The zipper is a really nice zipper, both super-smooth and around three sides. This allowed me to keep the cover on when I opened the laptop (using the elastic corner straps on the inside), which was kind of nice in some environments. My only real problem with it is how completely NOT SOFT it feels. Maybe I’m being too harsh on such an inexpensive product, but I’m not done looking for a laptop case…

|Nice Looking Case,
This is a nice looking case that appears to be well constructed. The Zipper opens smoothly & overall has a feel of decent quality, especially considering how inexpensive it is. One really nice thing is that the zipper opens completely on three sides, so it is simple to get the laptop in and out.
Why only 4 stars? I bought it for my Dell Inspiron 1440 & while it does fit, it is a small on the huge side. I was hoping for a cover that would have been snug against the laptop – this one has about an extra 1/2 inch of space around the whole perimeter. It does the job, but isn’t snug.
