Tight fit but works as advertised.,
The drive fit fine, as long as you screw it to the underplate, and it works fantastic with the laptop as an external drive. Be sure not to use a “Hot” drive or it’ll cook in this enclosure.

|Single use,
One of my main problems with this, is that it is not like the one in the picture. It is a cheap hunk of metal you slide the hard drive (HDD) into. Not terrible, but not as described either. Secondly, after a week or so, the cable broke.It would only work if I wiggled it just right. Having the power cut from my HDD when it wasn’t just right isn’t excellent. That’s one of the best ways to ruin a HDD.
After checking the company’s return policy, I chose it wasn’t worth it to return. if it broke because of their cheap parts, it should be their responsibility to fix. I guess it just goes to show that you should buy your cheap crap from Amazon directly, not 3rd-parties.

|Nice build quality,
Worked perfect, was nicer than I ever expected. Built to very close tolerances brilliant fit and end. My only “complaint” is that the USB cable it comes with is two headed on one end (the end you plug into another device) which has two USB connectors…one for data/power and one (extra) for power, which I suppose is needed for some hard drives but not the ones I’m using so I found an ancient cable I had from a WD Passport which works perfectly
