I bought this bag for carrying a larger laptop and for doing a lot of 1-2 night trips so only a small amount of clothes are required. Thus I can reduce to one bag and not have to check bags. Plus its small enough so that I never see HAVING to check it, but huge enough to carry what I need for a small trip. This will not work for more than 2 day trip or even if you have to bring extra shoes, unless your feet are very small.

I can also say the pictures are incorrect, this seems to happen a lot on amazon lately. The movie is accurate and the way to store the computer is very clever, in a small TSA approved sleeve, and it slides in to the middle part with just a clip rather than a zipper. this is perfect for the airport check in. i reckon in the picture it shows the laptop going into the clothing section?

The handle is nice seems to work well, though that’s the first thing that goes on every rolling bag i have ever owned. So this seems to have the right combination of everything I need, it more of a very nice computer bag with a spot for clothes vs. others I have seen which are carry-ons with an inadequate spot for computer and office accessories. It seems well made but haven’t had it long enough to test out the long term durability. i can say it would work well as an every day office commuter AND over night bag, though i do not commute, but its not overly huge for that. there is no shoulder strap, nice soft leather handles though.

THIS CASE IS JUST WHAT I HAD IN MIND. ONE CARRY-ON WITH ALL THE ROOM FOR THOSE MUST HAVE ITEMS. I HAVE TO GO THROUGH AIRPORTS WITH MY COMPUTER FOR WORK PURPOSES. BY THE TIME YOU GET TO THE CHECK POINT, TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES, TAKE YOUR COMPUTER OUT OF THE CASE, EMPTY YOUR POCKETS, WALK THROUGH THE DETECTOR, TAKE OFF YOUR BELT, GO AGAIN, TAKE OFF YOUR WATCH, ETC. ETC. THEN YOU REVERSE EVERYTHING. WITH THIS CASE YOU PULL OUT THE COMPUTER IN ITS SLEEVE, WORRY FREE OF HURT, YOU ALREADY HAVE POCKET CHANGE IN THE BAG, AND JUST GO. THE WHEEL FEATURE IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED MAKING THOSE LONG WALKS AND RUNS FROM ONE GATE TO THE NEXT. I DON’T EVEN CARE IF SOMEONE IS LAUGHING AT ME; I KNOW THEY WILL PROBABLY OWN ONE SOMEDAY. IT WAS AFFORDABLE THROUGH AMAZON, AND JUST PLAIN SLICK TO USE.

I bought this because I needed a new case for my Alienware M17x laptop which is a pretty heavy duty machine and has a large 17″ screen. I compared this case to many others cases (Targus, Samsonite, etc) and found this one to be the lightest and have the most friendly design. My laptop fits perfectly into the security-friendly case and they’ve made it very simple to take in and out when passing trough airport security. Your laptop stays protected and you don’t have to risk scratching it when its coming in and out of the case.

Overall, I was sketchy at first because Case Logic is not known as a top manufacturer of laptop cases but I like the fact that it is very simple and elegant design, and it doesn’t have any extra unnecessary space around the sides and the top like the Targus 17″ rolling case. My 17″ laptop fits tight which is how I like it because let’s face it, the laptop and the case are already pretty huge, why would you want extra space around the sides? I don’t get it.
